Brief Description
LS15 7JR We are looking for a friendly, reliable and motivated Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team. This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining hands‑on experience in a healthcare environment while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.
Qualifications Required
GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.
For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.

Training to be Provided
Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 (GCSE) and Functional Skills if required.
Future Prospects
This is an exciting role that will include engaging with customers and clients to provide prescription counter services, advice, housekeeping duties such as stock rotation and stock replenishment, helping to deliver a variety of public health services whilst gaining a pharmacy qualification.

About the role
As a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice, you will support the day‑to‑day running of the pharmacy, helping customers and working closely with the pharmacy team to ensure safe and efficient service.
You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship alongside your role, with full training and support provided.
Key duties include:
• You will provide essential day-to-day support to the pharmacy team in the Care home hub which supplies medication to a mix of care homes, hospices and hospital wards in the area.
• You will learn the processes required to provide the highest level of patient care and safety to these vulnerable groups.
• You will be trained how to operate the dispensing robot to support with the automation of dispensing.
• You will be required to follow pharmacy processes with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• You must be confident with using technology as part of your day-to-day practices.
